Status of peptides in Canada

The peptides we offer are not medications approved by Health Canada, and we never present them as treatments: they are products intended for informed adults, accompanied by educational information.

The regulatory framework around peptides is evolving and varies by substance; we follow it closely and adjust our offering accordingly.

The certificate of analysis (COA) for each batch is published on the product page when the batch is received, and your orders ship from Quebec, no customs crossing.

For any question about your personal situation, a professional remains your best reference.

The essentials

What is a peptide and how does it work in the body?
A peptide is a short chain of amino acids that acts as a messenger between cells. Depending on its structure, it carries a specific signal: the release of a hormone, the repair of a tissue, appetite or cellular energy. Many mimic or extend a signal the body already produces; each sheet says what research has studied, and at what level of evidence.
Are peptides like steroids?
No. Anabolic steroids are hormones derived from cholesterol; peptides are short chains of amino acids. Many mimic or extend a signal the body already produces, and some act on hormones: each page says who they are not suitable for, and flags when the peptide is, like steroids, on the World Anti-Doping Agency list.
Are peptides safe? Are they "doping"?
Our peptides are lab tested (verified purity, certificate of analysis published when the batch arrives) and are used at low, targeted doses. Used properly, they are generally well tolerated: the most common effects are mild, such as redness at the injection site or passing nausea. They are not steroids. One important nuance: some peptides are on the World Anti-Doping Agency's Prohibited List, banned both in and out of competition. If you are an athlete subject to testing, check your federation's rules. And if you have a medical condition or take medication, ask a healthcare professional for advice.
Do I need a prescription to order?
No, the products offered at Peptiva do not require a prescription. That said, we strongly recommend discussing it with a healthcare professional if you have an existing medical condition, if you already take other medications, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Are your peptides tested for purity?
Yes. Every batch comes from laboratories that apply strict quality controls, and purity is verified by HPLC and mass spectrometry, the industry's standard methods. We only work with suppliers able to demonstrate batch traceability.
Can I get a certificate of analysis (COA)?
Yes. The certificates of analysis are gathered on the Quality & testing page of the Peptiva Centre, and the one for your exact batch is available on request: write to us through the chat or the Contact us page with the product name and batch number (visible on the pen or box label).
How does the personalized Peptiva plan work?
You answer a short questionnaire about your goals (weight loss, energy, sleep, recovery, etc.) and your health situation. Our system analyzes your answers to suggest suitable options, along with educational resources. Our team then remains available by email to answer your questions, before, during and after your order. It's never just an algorithm deciding for you.
Is Peptiva right for everyone?
No, and the questionnaire is there precisely to say so. If an answer indicates a caution factor (pregnancy, breastfeeding, a medical condition, ongoing medication), your summary shows a clear notice: talk to a healthcare professional before starting. Our team remains available by email for any question.
How do I know if a product is safe for me?
Each sheet in the Information section presents the mechanism, the level of evidence, the possible side effects and who the peptide is not for. The questionnaire flags, in your summary, the situations that call for advice before ordering. When in doubt, a healthcare professional who knows your file remains the best reference.
Is it legal in Canada?
The straight answer: our peptides are not drugs approved by Health Canada, and we never present them as treatments. They are products intended for informed adults, along with educational information. What that means for you, in practice: · no effect is promised to you: each peptide page says what research has shown, at what level of evidence, and who the product is not for; · you order for yourself, as an adult aged 18 or older; · if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take medication, talk to a health professional before you start; · if you are an athlete subject to anti-doping tests, read the question about it further down in this section. The regulatory framework around peptides is evolving and varies by substance; we follow it closely and adjust our offering accordingly. Your orders ship from Quebec, with no customs crossing. This answer is general information, not legal advice. For a legal question about your own situation, the team answers by email.
How old do I need to be?
18 or older. The site and our products are intended exclusively for adults: by creating an account or placing an order, you confirm you are of the required age (Terms and Legal notice).
I am an athlete subject to anti-doping tests
Several of our products are named on the World Anti-Doping Agency's Prohibited List and are prohibited at all times, in and out of competition: BPC-157, TB-500, CJC-1295 (with or without DAC), ipamorelin, tesamorelin and MOTS-c, as well as the blends that contain them (Healing Blend, Glow Blend, Klow Blend, CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin). Each peptide page says so in its Safety section. The same list also prohibits, at all times, any substance that no health authority has approved for human therapeutic use (section S0), even when it is not named. Before taking any product, check with your federation or the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, and talk to your team doctor.

Usage

Do you take peptides continuously or in cycles?
It depends on the peptide. Many are used in cycles, with breaks: a break gives the receptors time to regain their sensitivity and shows what holds once you stop. Others are used continuously, with follow-up. The protocol included with the product sets the framework for each one; if you're unsure about the duration that suits you, talk to a healthcare professional.
Are the injections done into fat or muscle?
The vast majority of peptides sold by Peptiva are injected subcutaneously, that is, into the fatty tissue just under the skin, not into the muscle: the belly, at least 5 cm from the navel, the outer side of the thigh or the back of the arm. It's a shallow injection, similar to insulin, done with a very fine needle.
Are the injector pens reusable?
The pen body is reusable for several injections as long as the cartridge contains product. The needle, however, must be changed for every injection to stay sterile and to avoid the discomfort of a dull needle.
What should I do if I have side effects?
Most are mild and temporary: redness at the injection site, nausea during the first few days. The Effects to watch for page describes, product by product, what is common and how to reduce it. If a symptom is severe, lingers or worries you, stop the product, talk to a healthcare professional and write to us at contact@peptivacanada.com. An immediate reaction after the injection, such as trouble breathing or swelling of the face, needs medical care right away.
How do I dispose of needle tips safely?
Use a rigid, puncture-proof container (a sharps container, or failing that a thick plastic bottle with a lid) and bring it to a pharmacy or municipal collection point once full. Never throw a needle directly into the garbage or the recycling bin.
Quelle est la vraie différence entre un stylo et une fiole ?
The pen protects the peptide and sets the dose: it is opaque, sealed without air, and the dose is set on the dial, to the unit (one unit is one click of the dial). A vial exposes it to light and air, and pierced thirty times a month, it ends up contaminated. The water in the box is bacteriostatic, at optimal pH, with benzyl alcohol; cheap waters often come with no Canadian approval or lot certificate. The details are on the Why the pen page.
Can I combine two peptides?
Yes. Some protocols combine two peptides; we even sell an already-combined formula, CJC-1295 (No DAC) + Ipamorelin, in a single pen. The rule stays the same: introduce one thing at a time, a few days apart, so you know what's doing what. Educational information, not medical advice.
Are there protocols by age or sex?
No: our products are for adults 18 and over only, and from there it is case by case, whatever your age or sex. What matters is your goal, your starting point and your tolerance, which the guided plan takes into account. For your personal situation, talk to a health professional.
Does the injection hurt?
The needle is fine and short: a 27 to 29 gauge pen needle (the higher the number, the finer the needle), a few millimetres long, the same kind of injection as an insulin pen, just under the skin. How it feels varies from person to person. What helps: a new pen needle for every injection, the skin gently pinched, the button pressed slowly, then light pressure without rubbing. Changing the injection spot each time avoids irritation. The gesture is shown on video on the Pen instructions page.

How do I store my pen before and after mixing?
Before mixing: in the fridge (2 to 8 °C) for a few weeks, or in the freezer, in its box, for up to 24 months; the water syringe always stays in the fridge. Out of the freezer, the pen goes back to the fridge for a few hours before you mix it. Once mixed: in the fridge at all times, in its box, away from light, never in the freezer. It keeps 3 to 9 weeks depending on the peptide; each product page gives its own. Past that, we do not recommend using it, even if some is left.
I left my pen out of the fridge
Put it back in the cold as soon as possible, in its box. A pen not yet mixed is still a powder: our pens travel that way, without an ice pack, since cold matters mostly once the pen is mixed. A mixed pen left out of the cold for hours, let alone in a car in the sun, has been through what degrades a peptide: we do not recommend using it, even if it looks clear. Email the team at contact@peptivacanada.com with the product, the date you mixed it and what happened: they will tell you what to do. A pen damaged by being left out of the fridge or by heat is not replaced.

Orders & shipping

What if my package is damaged or lost?
Write to us with your order number, at contact@peptivacanada.com or from the Contact us page. Package lost or not delivered despite tracking: we open an investigation with Canada Post and, once non-delivery is confirmed, we send you a replacement at no charge. Package or pen broken, wrong product or missing item when you open it: report it within 48 hours of delivery, with a photo. A pen whose mechanism does not work, or that leaks, must be reported within 15 days. Once an order has shipped, a problem is resolved with a replacement, never a refund.
What payment methods do you accept?
Interac e-Transfer only. The transfer address, the exact amount and the reference to enter in the message appear at the end of your order; you also receive them by email.
Can I modify or cancel my order?
Yes, as long as the order is not yet being prepared. Write to us as soon as possible with your order number, at contact@peptivacanada.com or from the Contact us page. Any amount already received is then refunded in full. If no transfer is received within 7 days of the order, it is cancelled automatically, at no charge. Once preparation has started, it can no longer be modified or cancelled.
What is your return policy?
Our products travel and are stored cold, sealed. Once shipped, they therefore cannot be returned or refunded. If there is a problem, we replace them at no charge. A damaged, missing or incorrect item must be reported within 48 hours of delivery; a defective pen (mechanism, leak), within 15 days. Write to us at contact@peptivacanada.com with a photo and your order number. Full details on the Returns & replacements page.
Where do orders ship from and how long does it take?
All orders ship from Quebec by Xpresspost (Canada Post), with tracking. Transfer received before 10 a.m. (Quebec time), Monday to Friday: your order ships the same day; received later, it ships on the next shipping day. Nothing ships on weekends or statutory holidays. Delivery then takes 1 to 2 business days in Quebec and Ontario, and 2 to 4 business days elsewhere in Canada, sometimes longer in remote areas.
How do you make sure peptides stay preserved during transport?
Your pens travel as powder, sealed in their box: in that form, a peptide handles a few days in transit without a cold pack. On arrival, keep them in the fridge, or in the freezer for the medium and long term; mix a pen only when you start it, then keep it in the fridge.
How can I reach the team?
The site chat answers you right away: it is our assistant, an artificial intelligence tool. To reach a member of our team, tap "Write to the team" in the chat, use the Contact us page or write to contact@peptivacanada.com, in French or in English. We reply by email, usually within 24 hours on business days.
Are the packaging and the statement discreet?
Yes. The box is plain, with no writing or logo on the outside: nothing on the package indicates its contents. Payment is made by Interac e-Transfer, never by card, and the transfer message contains only your order reference. Order email subjects give your order number, never a product name.
What are Peptiva Dollars?
A balance in My account that fills up when you invite your friends: every invited friend who places their first order earns you some, and the friend who creates an account with your link receives some too. At checkout, they can pay for up to half of what is left to pay once discounts are taken off, shipping excluded, and they never expire.
Why this price, compared to powder?
The price of a Peptiva pen covers the graduated pen, its pre-measured bacteriostatic water syringe (one step to prepare it, nothing to calculate or buy on top) and the certificate of analysis (COA) for every lot. Orders ship from Quebec with no customs or border delay, and shipping is free from 2 items. Powder demands, on top of its own price, bacteriostatic water, syringes, a dilution to calculate and usually an import step: that whole package explains the gap.
How do I track my order?
Your tracking number is emailed to you as soon as the package ships. You also find it in My account, under Orders: open the order to see its status and tracking.
My package is late
Transit time counts from shipping, not from the order: 1 to 2 business days in Quebec and Ontario, 2 to 4 business days elsewhere in Canada. Nothing ships on weekends or holidays. First check the tracking, in the shipping email or in My account. If the tracking says the package was delivered and you received nothing, or if the carrier declares it lost, email us at contact@peptivacanada.com with your order number: we open an investigation with Canada Post and, once non-delivery is confirmed, we send you a replacement at no charge.
Can I order for someone else or ship to another address?
The shipping name and address are entered with each order: they can differ from your own. The account and the order remain personal, though: by ordering, you confirm you are 18 or older and acting for yourself (Legal notice). A relative who is an adult and wants our products opens their own account and orders for themselves.

Payment

How do I pay by Interac e-Transfer?
Interac e-Transfer is our only payment method. At the end of your order you receive the transfer address, the exact amount and the reference to enter in the message, also sent by email. The order is confirmed automatically as soon as the transfer is matched to your reference, often within the hour (checked every hour).
Who receives my Interac e-Transfer?
To the e-Transfer address shown on your order page and in your order confirmation email. Use only that address, send the exact amount, and enter your order reference in the transfer message: that is what matches the transfer to your order. Once it is sent, the “I sent my transfer” button on the order page lets us know right away.
