Epithalon
What is common, what is less so, and what to do if something is out of the ordinary.
What most people notice
Most often, no side effects during the course.
A slight reaction at the injection site is possible.
What can also happen
- Daytime drowsiness, if the injection time does not suit your sleep.
- More intense dreams in the first few days.
- A mild headache.
- A temporary change in sleep pattern at the start of the course.
To reduce these effects
- Give the injection at a regular time, as set out in your protocol.
- Keep the course short, as your protocol sets out, without extending it.
- Change the injection site every time.
- Do not raise the dose on your own.
When to talk to a professional
With this product, especially if you notice:
- A sleep problem that worsens, or that lasts after the course.
- A reaction at the injection site that spreads or does not ease.
If a symptom is severe, lingers or worries you, stop the product and talk to a healthcare professional. An immediate reaction after the injection, such as trouble breathing or swelling of the face, needs medical care right away.
Specific to this product
- It is not recommended with an active or recent cancer, and during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- With melatonin or a sleep medication, the effects on sleep can add up: talk to your doctor first.
